A Fireplace, Cynicism, and White Wine

I was born cynical, because the world has always lied to me. Doctors do not heal you, teachers do not teach you, parents do not parent you.

I was also born aspirational, I see the best in people and no matter how many times life knocks me down I always get back up stronger than ever.

And so I have always come back around to seeing the beauty and high potential of life.

Because life is redeemed by quiet moments by the fire with white wine and good company.

Life is celebrated in the gaps between the highs and the lows.

And the strength of our character is measured by how much of this cynicism we carry forward, to infect and affect others.
